As part of the ongoing revamp of the site I decided I needed to get some matching business cards with the site details rather than my current work ones. I’d used Moo before when getting some mini cards to advertise the Warwick University Maths island in Second Life and was impressed with the quality (you used to be able to order cards through them direct from a Flickr account, don’t know if you still can). The cards can be designed online, with uploaded logos, choice of colours, fonts, layouts, you can even get a batch made with different front/back images (depends on whether you call the side with your details on the front or back when they’re two-sided!).

As I couldn’t decide between regular sized ones and the mini-cards I got both (the minis with two slightly different designs) and some stickers for good measure. Took a while to get the designs how I wanted them, but the end product is worth it I think (they do contain my telephone number, but blanked it out for the photos on this blog entry). Wanted a fairly minimal look, so name, web page, email, phone and QR code to my web site; other contacts such as Facebook, Twitter can be found from the front page of dave-wood.org so figured it wasn’t worth adding them to the card. They do have new high quality “luxe” business cards which I was tempted with, but I preferred the rounded corners so it was an either or decision, maybe some time in the future!

Finally a few photos of the holders ordered with them (black, obviously, to match the cards, and sticker sets for, well, sticking to things!
