Boy Lane’s Rainbow Viewer for Netbooks

rainbow_viewerSince my “recent” post on the Meerkat Viewer and it’s plus points for use on netbooks I have come across a version of Boy Lane’s excellent Rainbow Viewer optimised for use on Netbooks. This has recently been updated to comply with the official viewer’s forced upgrade (currently version 1.2). It requires an official SL viewer in version 1.19.0.5 as a foundation (which can be downloaded from the SL viewer archives).

I’ve had it on my Eee for a couple of weeks now, and performance is much improved on that obtained by the official viewer (including tweaks in the configuration files).

For more information and download links please see the Boy Lane blog entry, or start at the main page for news on all his projects including the excellent Cool Viewer.

  1. Seems that the Rainbow Viewers have become a victim of the new Linden Lab 3rd Party Viewer policy and Boy Lane will not be releasing any more updates after the recent batch (which does not include netbook version),

    A great shame.
